Halloween
I think this Halloween was the longest ever! Kailyn's preschool carved pumkins the week before, then the library had a party, her school had a party, the elementary school had a party, we went trick-or-treating (or chicken treating if Kailyn's talking), and then Matt & Brandy had a party... it was fun, but I am glad that we are moving on to the next holiday, which includes a TRIP TO FLORIDA!!!

Congrats Brian!
After a lot of hard work and dedication, I am proud to post that Brian Major passed the white helmet on to Brian Beauvais. Congratulations, honey!

Dad
We weren't so sure about the Blueberry Bash this year, especially after Charlie's bout with jaundice. But, you know, my labor started the last time I had been at the cabin - I think that he really likes it there and was anxious to check the place out! Soooo... we went....
And it ended up being the perfect time to bury dad's ashes. It was sad that Dana couldn't be there, but I was glad that she was OK with us finally taking him back to a place that he loved to be. Dad just loved it there, and I am glad that we found a special place for him. We let Charlie sit on his Papa's chair while we buried him and said a little prayer. Kailyn wasn't too sure what was going on, but she knew it was a special day. The weather was absolutely beautiful, with just the perfect amount of wind so that the American flag snapped every so often. I think that Dad would have been happy, and I'm glad that he's there.

Pics from the hospital
A little out of order, but here's some pics from the hospital. Isn't the camo hat and sweater great?!! Brian's Memere made the sweater and Charlie's Memere made the hat... it was a perfect fit and a huge hit at the hospital. I was just thankful that Brian would allow him to wear a sweater finally! I think that little boys are so handsome in them!

Charlie's birthday
For those of you that don't know, Charlie's birth went great. From the first good contraction to holding him in my arms was right at 2 hours! It was pretty intense; it went so fast that each contraction was exponentially worse than the last, but my crew (Brian, Mom, Merreley, and my fantastic nurse) really were great at keeping me focused and effective.
A quick smile between contractions at 9:59 am.
Holding Baby Charlie at 11:11 am.11:30 - I just love this face; Kailyn made the same one and he still makes it today. It's really cute (is that mean?)
Kailyn got to come in right after the birth - this pic is at 11:45 (he was born at 11:07).
